Isle of Wight Holiday Home

We have purchased a holiday home in the Isle of Wight on the 28th of March 2014. We purchased the holiday home to expand the services Rebecca Homes Ltd offers. We hope that many people have enjoyable holidays at the house, the house has breath-taking sea views. The house is also located in a wonderful location close to Ventnor beach and town. Ventnor is on the Southern Coast of the Isle of Wight which is a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight which has the warmest climate in the UK.

We have purchased the Isle of Wight house for a holiday home for the people we support and staff to use and to let out to other associates of the company.

No pets are allowed in the house.

Mount Seaview contains the following:

  • Two bedrooms
  • A lounge with two sofa beds
  • A bathrooms with shower, toilet and bath
  • A kitchen
  • A dining room. (Which also contains a single bed)
  • A back small patio garden. The small patio garden has a garden table and chairs which sits approximately six people. The garden table has a parasol. The back garden is enclosed by a gate that is closed by a chain.

The dining room and kitchen are on the ground floor, the dining room contains a single bed and a TV which has a built in DVD player.

The bathroom and toilet are on the first floor. The lounge which contains two sofa pull out beds is also on the first floor. These rooms are accessed via stairs from the ground floor.

The other two bedrooms are on the top floor (Second floor). These rooms are accessed via stairs from the first floor.

Most rooms have a sea view apart from the kitchen, bathroom and back bedroom.

On the top floor there are two bedrooms, one bedroom contains a double bed and the master bedroom has a kingsize bed. The bedroom on the first floor (the lounge) has a single bed. The dining room on the ground floor has a single bed. Maximum the house sleeps is six.

There are two televisions in the house one is in the first floor bedroom (lounge) and it has a DVD player plugged into it, there is also a TV in the dining room this has a built in DVD player this can be accessed at the side of the TV. There is no SKY TV at the house.

There is an iPod player and small CD player this is located in the kitchen on top of the fridge freezer, this can be accessed when going up the stairs because the wall is cut out in the kitchen. There is Wi-Fi and as stated no SKY TV there is also no telephone. Therefore it is recommended to bring a mobile phone.

There are two hair dryers at the house, this is one in each top floor bedroom.

There is an antique pair of binoculars at the house, they are old but are great to use, they are located in the lounge.

Bedding and towels are currently provided. However due to difficulties in washing bedding and getting bedding dry when leaving for the ferry we may in future remove bedding and towels and ask people to bring own bedding. We are seeing how things go. Currently it saves bringing own bedding if already there however if it is provided people are expected to wash it. Although due to our late leaving times from the house we have left plenty of time for people to wash and dry the bed linen.

Smoking is not permitted inside the house. However there is an ashtray in the dining room for use in the garden. Please carry it out to the garden when using it and leave the ashtray out of the house for the rest of your stay if you have used the ash tray empty it at the end of your stay and wash it and return it to the dining room.

There is Wi-Fi at the house.. The house does not have a cleaner, the Business Manager cleans the house when staying although does not stay regularly. Therefore it is important to leave the house as it was found.

The house is non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted in the house.

The house is in Ventnor on the southern part of the Isle of Wight, Ventnor.

A price list will be published soon for holiday lettings only. If you need staff to also go then a price would be discussed on assessment.

Ventnor is a Victorian seaside town situated on the southern side of the Isle of Wight, right in the heart of the famed Undercliff, much of which is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Sheltered from the north by the national trust owned St Boniface Downs, Ventnor benefits from its own micro climate. This climate provides an ideal haven for a variety of flora and fauna, many species of which are only found in Mediterranean countries.

Ventnor town’s crest bears the figure of Hygeia, the goddess of health, who serves to remind us that, since Victorian times, many visitors have benefited from the revitalizing and restorative properties that this micro climate offers.

Visitors to Ventnor will find a great variety of established local shops, restaurants, public houses and holiday accommodation. All provide a friendly service both to their local community and its visitors. Many serve local freshly caught fish and locally brewed ales. The town is currently undergoing a revival with exciting developments including its harbour and off-shore deep sea moorings and a range of new accommodation, restaurants and retail outlets.
