We celebrated Dignity Day on 01.02.14 was a huge success. Both Activity Coordinators inflated balloons for a visit to Blithfield Reservoir, although very windy we let the balloons go and it was lovely to see how residents and staff reacted when they floated off up into the sky higher and higher until they were eventually nowhere to be seen.
After letting the balloons off everyone returned back to The Mount and baked cakes with the help of staff member Wendy, residents then decorated them with sweets and chocolates.
During the day a community client got involved, he let the balloons go too and decorated his own cakes and then in the evening he made paper stain glass window hangings for Chinese New Year, it was lovely for him to be involved so much.
As well as Wendy, Support Worker Tom was also a great help he took all the photos of the event.
